Tango Prince 2026 Ilari Hämäläinen

Ilari and his band offer an exciting and timeless dance evening

The new tango prince Ilari Hämäläinen is one of the most exciting new names in dance music. The orchestra he leads brings a fresh combination of traditional dance music, strong musicianship, and surprising repertoire choices that appeal to audiences of all ages.

The common goal of Ilari and his band is to create a safe, warm-hearted, yet unique dance evening, where everyone is welcome just as they are.

“We promise to delight, inspire and move with our thought-provoking program, whether you come to dance or listen, regardless of age.”

The band's strong musical training and broad expertise enable each genre to be presented with the dignity it deserves. The program respects dance music traditions and timeless classics, but at the same time offers listeners new discoveries while avoiding the most worn-out song choices.

“Every night we strive to boldly push the boundaries of our skills. So far to the edge that the audience cannot remain indifferent.”

Ilari Hämäläinen and his orchestra do not follow musical fashion trends, but build their repertoire around timeless music. The goal is to arouse emotions, bring up forgotten memories and offer the audience genuine aha-moments.

“I hope that the audience will experience several aha moments during the evening when they hear something from their past. Something that they may have forgotten over the years. And although we don't follow fashion, we also try to take into account the latest dance trends while respecting the audience.”

MagnumLive has also added another new dance music ensemble to its roster, whose debuts have received rave reviews.

Mika Turunen & Turunen's Gun

More than a gig.
An experience you want to experience again.

Turunen Pyssy consists of five experienced professional musicians, whose shared live experience is heard and seen in every performance. The heart of Turunen Pyssy is Mika Turunen . Mika is a performer who charms his audience, combining strong singing skills, stage charisma and genuine encounters. Years of experience on theater, concert and show stages are reflected in his ability to make people forget their everyday lives and throw themselves into the music. Mika does not lead the evening just by singing. He leads with emotion.

The band members have performed with many of Finland's top artists over the years, including Laura Voutilainen, Kaija Koo, Arttu Wiskarin, Anna Abreu and Redrama . The shared experience is evident in every performance, but it's not just about technical expertise. Strong musicianship is combined with a strong live performance and the ability to build an entire evening.

Turusen Pyssy respects the fine traditions of dance floors. At the same time, every evening is truly like Turusen Pyssy. It's not just about what songs are played. It's about what kind of evening they build from them. At Turusen Pyssy gigs, the audience sings along exceptionally often. Not because the audience is invited to join in, but because the atmosphere makes people sing.

Turunen Pyssy has a long history of performing live and entertaining audiences. Now it's time to bring Turunen Pyssy's gigs to dance floors.

“For their first dance stage gig, it could be said that right from behind the tree, Turunen Pyssy “shot hard right away”. Turunen’s singing was on point and his flute playing skills added a nice extra spice. The entire Pyssy group are clearly experienced and skilled professional musicians.”

“I was at Turunen Pyssy’s first stage gig at Rönni. I – and our five-person car gang – all agreed that we were really positively surprised. Above all, they were a refreshing exception to the fact that they had a unique repertoire. A great selection of well-known Finnish music – but different, including, for example, Teppillä elämä, Teippilla ja rakkaukälle and Häitä pidellýt, which I had never heard on a dance stage. The whole set was full of great songs, and also perfectly adapted for dancing. There should be more bands like this on dance stages that dare to play songs that everyone loves, also from outside the traditional dance genre. Based on this, the band meets its own one criterion: Would I drive two hours away to see them? I could go because of Turunen Pyssy.”

“The orchestra had the rhythms right. Great song choices. Lots of familiar songs that haven't been heard on stage for a while. Great performance! Next summer we will definitely see Mika Turunen & Turunen Pyssy on the Särkän Stage.” Jukka Uusi-Kouvo, Särkän Lava
