Vili Mustalampi is a new, hot name in the Finnish music scene.
Vili Mustalampi is a multi-instrumentalist and a spiritual hybrid of two countries. Mustalampi, who inherited Latin rhythms from his parents, made Cuban music in the original language for a long time. Eventually, he felt that his own music should also speak Finnish.
Finland's own Latin ambassador is making her hips sway in the same footsteps as the Latin artists who move party people around the world. The singer-songwriter writes songs with the voice of a Finnish man, but the stories are danced to Latin rhythms. The artist's songs are full of hope and community. And of course, Mustalampi also sings about love, even with big words when necessary.
Mustalampi has released their debut album Hullu Maailma (2021) and 17 singles and the Kohtaamisia EP. Their music has been listened to over 1,000,000 times on Spotify alone.
Over the past six years, the band has performed at festivals (including Pori Jazz, Haapavesi Folk, Maailma Kylässä), clubs (Lost in Music, Apollo, Vaunusali) and dance floors.
