Tuula Amberla's career as a singer began in the band Liikkuvat lapset in 1982, but she became known to the whole nation with her hit song Lulu in 1984. Lulu has since become a perennial hit, played at home parties and karaoke bars, and performed by Tuula herself at concerts and clubs. Amberla's collaboration with guitarist Ilpo Murtojärvi has continued from Lulu to the present day.
Tuula Amberla's repertoire includes all of Tuula's best-known songs; Lulu, Pienet sanat, Tyttö kampaa märkää tukkaa, Korppi, Auto sammui maantien laitaan, Kuunpoika, etc. Ilpo Murtojärvi has acted as arranger and guitarist in all of these songs and many others, which have survived with Tuula's original, unforgettable and timeless interpretation.
