Reinon Retkue , a four-piece new generation dance orchestra that travels from the streets of Jyväskylä to gigs , delights its audience above all with its skill and joyful energy - without forgetting a touch of humor and irony, as well as a highly praised, distinctive but tradition-respecting and accessible repertoire.
The soundscape of the tour features authentic sounds, such as accordion, saxophone and piano. Of course, the sound of the Hammond organ is also heard as a companion to Rautalangan . The band's external appearance culminates in authentic Reino slippers, which smoothly glide on both solos and Åke Blomqvist's disco dance patterns!
Reinon Retkue started touring dance stages a few years ago as the second band of the band Komiat . After reaching an agreed conclusion to their common journey, Retkue, originally a three-piece band, changed its form to a four-piece band and is now touring as such, delighting Finnish dance stages for the second year!
Reinon Retkue's professional musicians have backgrounds in, for example, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, Gradia and the Sibelius Academy . The members are also active in various ensembles, and some work as instrument teachers in addition to active gigging. Their expertise and experience range from folk music to heavy metal and jazz to rap music. So diverse – just like the stage dance music that unites the band members!
