A beautiful voice stops you in your tracks and a genuine person remains in your memory.
Pirita Niemenmaa is the 2019 Tango Queen . She is a breath of fresh air in the pop music scene: a singer with a twinkle in the corner of her eye, a luminous interpreter of pop and dance music, whose velvety voice and warm presence captivate the audience.
Pirita, who has been performing since 2004, is a familiar sight on dance stages all over Finland, but she has also done a lot more along the way. She has been seen on stage as well as in Finland's most popular reality series, Temptation Island, which tells the story of Pirita's courage and open attitude towards the public. Pirita is also known on social media as an active and approachable performer.
Pirita is at home on the dance floor. Her repertoire includes delicate tangos, beloved hits and fast-paced dance songs. Sometimes we get emotional, sometimes we laugh and, above all, we have fun together.
Pirita actively releases new music, and her songs have also been successful in Radio Pook's chart polls. Tulikuumaa has become a particular favorite of the audience . At gigs, Mika Sihvola's Orchestra MiSiO plays alongside Pirita.
A hearty Ostrobothnian, the Tango Queen and above all a singer who genuinely meets her audience. Singing is a passion and the spice of life and even though dreams may take you high, your feet remain firmly planted on Ostrobothnian soil.
