Paavo Asunmaa is a singer from Southern Ostrobothnia. He is 30 years old. He is almost 2 meters tall. Born in Alavus, the pearl of Southern Ostrobothnia, he went out into the world and returned home from the world. This is the story of a singer, a man with a voice like a reed. Now he conquers the stages with the power of music. At gigs, Paavo sings as a soloist behind the microphone, but he also plays a range of different instruments – and you might find him as a surprise at a gig, for example behind the drums or guitar.
His solo career began with a bang in 2018, when he participated in the semi-finals of Tangomarkaint . This was followed by his participation in another national televised singing competition, where Paavo immediately took second place on his first attempt.
From the very beginning, he has set out to build a professional music career as a singer. The music and songs he performs have been carefully crafted, and he has also invested in live performances with his own band. Pop music painted in a country landscape, music with a personal touch, serving the dance community: this is Paavo Asunmaa. The hope is to also get young people involved in dance and pop music.
Motto: There must be humor in life, and music that carries from generation to generation.
New music has been released in early 2023: in the form of the single "Lakeuden kaipuu" and a music video. At the beginning of 2024, the song " Kun tuuli käy" was released , with Jussi Lampi as a guest in the music video.
SpongeBob's greetings to the dancing people:
- When spring arrives and the birds sing, the time has come. We arrive from the heart of southern Poznanland, from Alavude, to dance and entertain the whole of Finland. We have something for every musical taste and every dancer. Let's have fun and enjoy wonderful evenings together!
- Music is coming from all over the place! Even classics that have not necessarily been heard on dance floors, e.g. songs by legends from different decades, e.g. Matti Eskoa, Kari Tapiota, Reijo Taipaletta, Olavi Virtaa, and of course our own songs.
