Lauri Schreck is from Helsinki multi-instrumentalist and our national instrument kantele an innovator whose kantele repertoire includes Thunderstruck, Cha Cha Cha than Finlandia too. Lauri's one-man spectacle, which uniquely combines Finnish traditional instruments with well-known rock/pop hits, has already delighted audiences at hundreds of events around the world. The performance offers an explosive musical show, but also arresting interpretations of ballads such as Stand By Me ja Master drawing.
The most common response is a bewildered comment: "I never would have thought that a kantele could sound this good! How can someone play these songs on a kantele!? That sounds better than the original song!"
On TV, Lauri appears regularly in various programs every year and is remembered as Talent Finland -finales, Only life in season ten Antti Tuiskun and Joulumieella programs. Lauri has also performed with top artists such as Pepe Willberg, Nina Tapio and Mira Luoti (PMMP). During Finland's 100th anniversary celebrations, Lauri even got to perform Iron Maiden self For Bruce Dickinson Good morning on Finnish live TV.
