Introduction

Kaija Pohjola is a popular artist all over Finland. Sunny Kaija's performances run smoothly, accompanied by her own Tuliset orchestra. It is precisely the professional orchestra and Kaija's sincere nature combined with her loyalty to style that have been the guarantee for Kaija's long career to continue.

Kaija Pohjola is also remembered for her Tangokuningar title from 1991, and she received the prestigious Kullervo Linna Foundation Award in 1992, recognizing her “long-term and determined career”.

Kaija's first solo album , Kultaa kuutam o loi, exceeded all expectations and reached the gold record mark. Since then, Kaija has released many great albums containing danceable songs. The latest of them is Tosirakkautta, released in the summer of 2013. The album won the local radio station's Album of the Month vote.

Kaija enjoys performing at various concerts.

Kaija Pohjola won the tango queen title in Seinäjoki in 1991 with the tango Onnenmaa . Kaija immediately found her place in the hearts of Finns and has been a confident and determined singer ever since. However, Kaija's singing career began long before she won the tango queen title: as a teenager in 1965, Kaija Pohjola, then still Keinänen, began performing as a soloist in a dance orchestra.
