Introduction

Saxophonist Johannes Salomaa is known for many connections saxophonist, music arranger, band leader and big band conductor.

Salomaa has been heard playing in the following bands, among others: Astrid Swan, Riku Niemi Orchestra, UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Marjo Leinonen Huff 'n' Puff, Jean S, Knucklebone Blues Band, as well as The Great Helsinki Swing Big Band. In addition, he leads The Salomaa phenomenon show band, whose soloists have included, among others, Jenni Vartiainen, Paula Vesala, Anssi Kela, Michael Monroe and Erin. The Salomaa phenomenon is a used gala band and was, among other things, the house band of the 2024 Radio Gala.

Johannes Salomaa served as the conductor of the Boston Promenade Big Band from 2010 to 2015 and has since led, among others, the Lappeenranta Big Band.
He has composed and arranged programs for several entertainment concerts and made commissioned arrangements for various big bands and orchestras.

Approximately 200 performances a year with various ensembles make Salomaa one of Finland's most popular saxophonists.

You can perform solo, with a DJ, or with a small or large band.

Otherwise, the presentation tasks are handled in a relaxed manner.
