Johanna Iivanainen is a respected singer and songwriter who has also worked as a singing teacher. Johanna's fresh, natural performance and tonal interpretation have achieved great popularity, and her versatility is especially startling, covering recordings in the areas of jazz, a cappella and pop. In 2002, Johanna received the Louis Armstrong Award and a year later Sony Electronics Finland and the Finnish Jazz Association awarded her the first Sony Jazz Award in history.
Jore Marjaranta rose to fame in the early 1990s as a member of Leningrad Cowboys, but has also performed in many other groups. Jore, who started his solo career in the spring of 2000, has continued to make his own unique music and has expanded his programs to include concerts and corporate events. Since becoming a solo artist, Jore has made several Finnish-language pop hits.
The duo will be accompanied by one of Finland's most famous musicians and pianists, Olli Ahvenahti. The pianist and Eurovision conductor, known from television and also known as Puppe, will create a musically elegant atmosphere at the concert with his skills honed over the years. Over the years, the respected conductor has collaborated with almost all Finnish artists, from jazz to light music.
