In 1992, the song Kuurankukka exploded the pot. Joel Hallikainen toured Finnish dance stages, driven by phenomenal popularity. His life was followed by gossip and headlines. Thousands of stage gigs, TV's Tuttu juttu show, concerts, Emma , Telvis and Entertainer of the Year awards, gold, platinum and triple platinum.
Joel literally flew from gig to gig for ten years during the 90s boom, fueled by huge TV popularity and chart hits, until he was exhausted. At the turn of the millennium, it was time to calm down and distance himself from the entertainment world. It was a time for smaller guitar gigs, spiritual songs and family life.
