Dance Orchestra Fernanda was founded in 2002. At the time of its founding, all members were from Salo, and therefore Fernanda can be classified as a Salo dance orchestra.
Over the years, Fernanda has performed both traditional dance music and contemporary music. The orchestra has specialized in both accordion and wire-based music.
The orchestra's previous vocal soloists have been Ville Heinäsuo (2002-2019) and Katja Karisukki (2020-2024).
Jere Vilkkinen is known from the FBI-beat Dance Orchestra and the Youngers wire band. Jere has also performed as a freelancer and has been a soloist in several ensembles and concerts.
