Janne Raappana has been in the music scene for a long time. He has played thousands of gigs, recorded many albums and has hit songs that will never be forgotten. Janne's career has also been boosted by solo albums, Open the Door to Silence (2008), Love is Madness (2010) and Love Does Not Die (2011).
Janne is remembered from the ranks of the Taikakuu band, where he was the soloist and bassist for about fifteen years. Over the years, seven Taikakuu albums were released. A few years ago, Janne left the band. However, Janne has not left music, but has occasionally performed with his own band, where he is the singer-bassist. He has also done various jazz gigs and theater projects.
– I did gigs for 18 years straight. It was time for a break, but I haven't rested on my laurels, and I haven't left music. I've done pop and dance stage gigs from time to time.
So, there are few gigs per year, as Janne lives in Rovaniemi and runs the Palojärvi holiday center in Lapland.
The latest single releases are Juuri nyt (2018) and Lumineito (2021).
